KAITLIN G. ROY
Kaitlin G. Roy graduated cum laude from Saint Michael's College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology. After college, she went on to work for Amnesty International in Australia and the World Agro-forestry Center in Kenya.
Ms. Roy graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. During law school, she served as a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic where she provided representation for low-income clients in a variety of criminal, juvenile and family matters, including protection from abuse cases. She also handled a complex interstate custody dispute under the UCCJEA. Ms. Roy served as Lawyer of the Day at the Preble Street Youth Center, providing legal advice to juveniles. She secured a position on the law school's competitive Trial Team and won second place for points in the regional competition. She completed internships at several small firms in New Hampshire with a focus on Bankruptcy, Foreclosures and General Practice.
After law school, Ms. Roy practiced at a small firm that primarily handled social security disability claims, as well as, personal injury, traffic violations and medical malpractice claims. She joined Robinson, Kriger & McCallum's workers' compensation team in August 2012. Her practice also focuses on personal injury, social security disability claims and civil matters.
Ms. Roy serves on the Board of the New Lawyers Section of the Maine State Bar Association and the community service sub-committee. She volunteers as a mentor as part of the Maine Law mentor/mentee program for law students. In her free time, Ms. Roy enjoys spending time with her nephews, hiking, and competing in road races including triathlons and marathons.
