Attorneys Tom Kelly and Jeanne Sund host Will Workshop

On February 11, 2020, Attorneys Tom Kelly and Jeanne Sund hosted a roomful of attendees at a Will Workshop at RKM’s Library at 12 Portland Pier.  Attorney Kelly and Attorney Sund explained the importance of creating wills and   considering estate planning.  They also reviewed the newly amended Maine Probate Code, Title 18-C of the Maine Revised Statutes, which have resulted in significant changes affecting the court’s assessment of intent of the testator; revocation of wills upon divorce; guardianship; conservatorship; and the coverage of parent-child relationships particularly affecting blended families.  About twenty-five individuals were in attendance, having been invited by LegalShield representatives Nola Fennessy and Connie Ayotte.
